san diego family photographer | fifty-two on friday {25} emotion

This week’s theme for fifty-two on Friday is emotion!   From San Diego to across the United States … 19 other child and family photographers from The Bloom Forum and I have joined together to challenge each other on a theme every week.  Each one of us will link to one other photographer’s unique vision. Some of my favorite themes …  b&wsimple,  shoes,  lovefashionalonegame,  eyes,  friendship and water.

The end of the school year and the beginning of summer is always filled with so much emotion.  It’s a time that makes me sad … sad to be leaving an amazing group of children that have spent 175 days together growing and learning.  So sad to say goodbye to families that have been such a big part of my life.  But … it’s also a time of great joy!  It means long lazy days and precious time to spend with Brooks, family and friends.

On one of our walks this week, we came across this graffiti near the field.  On one side of the creek there is a happy face and on the other a sad face.  They perfectly portray the emotion that I feel at this time of year.  Brooks is in love with the lazy days of summer and couldn’t be happier running through the creek, digging in the dirt, swinging on the swings, and throwing sticks for a friend’s dog.  I’m thankful for days like this.

Fifty-Two on Friday (Week 25)|Tucson Family Photographer « Tucson Wedding, Family, Baby, Senior Photographer – Stephanie Moore Studios - […] Last week our theme was whimsical. If you didn’t have a chance to make the rounds you will have to check them out, everyone did a fantastic job. This week our theme is emotion. I love the way that a photograph can convey so much emotion. I am always trying to capture genuine emotion in all my photographs because I think that’s the most important part of a picture. This week I decided to photograph the emotion of our move. Typically moving can be a sad thing. When we moved to MS 6 years ago, I was so sad and scared. I had never been away from AZ and it was a whole new adventure. Then when we moved here to Memphis after living in Hattiesburg for 5 years, we were really sad to leave our friends behind. Now that we are moving AGAIN after a year in Memphis, of course I am sad to leave some friends behind, but I am BEYOND excited to live in Arizona again. We knew 6 years ago when we left, that our goal was to make it back to Arizona. So when Michael got offered a fellowship in Tucson, we were THRILLED. So our house if full of moving boxes and we are counting down the days (21 to be exact). My kids talk about it all the time. Today we decided to make happy faces with paper plates to show how excited we are. So our emotion we are feeling this week is beyond giddy, this is a small sample of our feelings!!! Head over to Jules Trandem’s blog to see her take on emotion! Jules Trandem|San Diego Family Photographer […]
