For the past four year our favorite way to kickstart our summer is a trip to the San Diego County Fair. We stop by the goats, cows, and pigs first … then head straight out to the ‘kiddie zone’. This year we missed our fair friends who were living it up in Hawaii, but we still managed to have a great time! I passed off my camera to 3 different people and this is the only one that turned out … the others were WAY out of focus. Hope you are enjoying summer as much as we are!

If you’ve been keeping up with my resolution for 2012, you know all about the changes we have made to our life … nearly all organic, no processed foods with more than 5 ingredients, chemical and toxin free home (thanks to Melaleuca), and this month (finally), I added working out back into my life. I spent my whole life as an athlete, all the way up until when Brooks was born. I’ve been disappointed that he doesn’t consider me someone who is athletic … disappointed in myself. Summer was the perfect time to get re-started and re-charged. Brooks has been the best workout partner … very persistent and determined. We are running 3 days a week and working out to ‘Jillian Michaels Body Revolution’ 4 days a week. Brooks is in love with the Jillian workouts … he loves to show off his ‘guns’ (which are quite impressive for a 7 year old). ;)
Now head on over to see what Misty Setzler, Lubbock Family Photographer did this month with her family.

Krista keller - Jules I realize I don’t know you super well but what I respect you for and admire you for are your commitments in your life and that you and Brooks are a total team. I can hear it in your writings and see it in your pictures.. What a blessed journey you are on. And all your talk about organics and going clean is starting to affect me. I bought a juicer and I passed at the funnel cakes at our fair- which took all of my strength. I still feel regret over it … ;(. Great post this week!
