This week’s theme for fifty-two on Friday is water! From San Diego to across the United States … 19 other child and family photographers from The Bloom Forum and I have joined together to challenge each other on a theme every week. Each one of us will link to one other photographer’s unique vision. Some of my favorite themes … b&w, simple, shoes, love, fashion, alone, game, eyes, and friendship.
Brooks has been begging to go fishing so with this week’s theme, we gave it a go. I’m not exactly much of a fisherman, but I did my share of fishing as a kid. After picking out a new pole we took off for Lake Poway. He was most excited about using live worms for the bait … bummer that the bait shop was closed by the time we got there.
My fisherman was also a little disappointed that I broke the string on the pole before he had a chance to even put it in the water. 🙁
I love that he was still up for having some fun and playing along! The reflection on Lake Poway was just stunning … such a beautiful place!
This boy cracks me up! Hope he makes you smile!
What’s a boy to do when he has a broken fishing pole at the lake … throw rocks!
and enjoy a little cola!
Off again to explore another spot for ‘fishing’.
He thought it would be funny to pretend that he caught a big one!
pointing to his ‘big catch’! 😉
