san diego child photographer | fifty-two on friday {22} water

This week’s theme for fifty-two on Friday is water!   From San Diego to across the United States … 19 other child and family photographers from The Bloom Forum and I have joined together to challenge each other on a theme every week.  Each one of us will link to one other photographer’s unique vision. Some of my favorite themes …  b&wsimple,  shoes,  lovefashionalonegame,  eyes,  and friendship.

Brooks has been begging to go fishing so with this week’s theme, we gave it a go.  I’m not exactly much of a fisherman, but I did my share of fishing as a kid.  After picking out a new pole we took off for Lake Poway.  He was most excited about using live worms for the bait … bummer that the bait shop was closed by the time we got there.

My fisherman was also a little disappointed that I broke the string on the pole before he had a chance to even put it in the water.  🙁

I love that he was still up for having some fun and playing along!  The reflection on Lake Poway was just stunning … such a beautiful place!

This boy cracks me up!  Hope he makes you smile!

What’s a boy to do when he has a broken fishing pole at the lake … throw rocks!

undefinedundefined

and enjoy a little cola!

undefinedundefinedundefined

Off again to explore another spot for ‘fishing’.

undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

He thought it would be funny to pretend that he caught a big one!

undefined

pointing to his ‘big catch’!  😉

wendy - OK. This was one of those week’s when I keep picking favorites as I scroll down. I had too many to choose from but I would have to say my favorite is either Brooks out of focus walking down the path or the look on his face as he’s pointing to “the one that got away”. Nicely done, Jules!
