This week’s theme for fifty-two on Friday is song!
From San Diego to across the United States … 19 other child and family photographers from The Bloom Forum and I have joined together to challenge each other on a theme every week. Each one of us will link to one other photographer’s unique vision. Some of my favorite themes … b&w, simple, shoes, love, fashion, alone, game, eyes, and friendship.
This past January Brooks started Taekwondo. It is remarkable how much this has changed him. The focus of his school are the tenets of Taekwondo … courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control and indomitable spirit. Brooks sets a goal each week and works towards that goal. Not all weeks go as planned and it takes a bit more work to accomplish his goal, but he does it.
Working towards his orange belt was so motivational for him. During his class graduation last month he earned his first belt … the orange belt. He worked extra hard in class, at school and at home to earn this belt. Such a proud moment for him and for me!
Because of his love for Taekwondo, we decided to do this week’s challenge as a karate theme.
Brooks chose Kung Fu Fighting as his theme song. He picked out the poses for this post and was so proud to see his love of this sport in these images.
and now for the rest …
and my favorite … his fierce yell! HIIYAA!
Please be sure to continue on with my dear friend Sara Tegman – St. Louis, MIssouri Photographer and enjoy the rest of the circle.
