Last year about this time, Brenda and Kristy started Bloom Workshops. I participated in the second workshop and was forever changed as a photographer. They helped me with exposure, creativity, and most of all confidence! As a refresher, I am participating as a ‘silent member’ in their current workshop and have loved hearing their words of wisdom all over again.
Last night I was inspired to go out and work on the beautiful sunset light. Brooks and I took off for the creek … he went in search of an adventure and I was looking for light, inspiration and confidence. Even before I uploaded these, I knew I had found what I was looking for. I’m so thankful for my little heart breaker for stopping every so often so I could practice. It’s great to feel like I’ve got my grove back after feeling lost for the past couple of weeks.
One thing I love about these is that they were 99% done after just a couple clicks in LR. I just finished them up in CR4 with some sharpening, a bit of texture on a few and resized for web. It couldn’t have been easier!
Sorry if I posted too many, but I LOVE these and I LOVE my kid.
These make me happy!
xoxo
p.s. I’m running a special through the end of February … $100 off the session fee for a session at this location… only two spots available. Session must take place in February!

Elisa - ah! love them all! the golden hues, the setting… any of the pictures could be an ad for coca-cola… the imagery is beautiful & the story they tell is adorable!!
Kia Gregory - Oh my goodness! Jules, if I lived closer I would have booked already! Absolutely perfect!
tina m - oh my gosh, the Coke shots are the best! They look just like a Coke ad. I was thinking he’s a total GAP boy. Rachel walked up as I was looking at these and thinking that he should be a GAP model and she said, “he could be a GAP kid!” – great shots as always
What a perfect subject he is.
Tamara - So many perfect shots!! These need a wall and a book!! Soon you will be teaching a workshop Jules!
Tara - BEAUTIFUL! I totally agree with everything already said! I was thinking to myself that Brooks looks like a GAP kid, that you should submit those photos for a coke ad, and that I wish you could take our pictures! I can’t tell you how very much I love these photos!
MomMom - These are wonderful. As wonderful as Brooks is in person. Can you try this again with Brooks and Cooper? He might not be as cooperative but would try.
