One of the biggest reasons we spend so much time in Santa Barbara is so Brooks can have a chance to spend time with his grampy. My dad is such a kind hearted, loving man and I adore watching Brooks and grampy hanging out together. Grampy was diagnosed with alzheimers and parkinsons a couple years ago and that has completely changed him and our family. He is a completely different person and I know he can’t remember Brooks’ name at this point.
It’s important to me to capture as much of their time together as possible so that Brooks will always have a memory of his wonderful grampy.
Their days together were always busy … walking the dogs, playing catch (Brooks was always so encouraging to grampy when he had a hard time catching the ball), eating root beer floats, kicking the soccer ball, playing hide and seek and so much more.
The night before we left to come home, the three of us took one more trip up to our favorite hill for an evening walk. I love these images of two of my favorite people at one of our favorite places.

Love you grampy!
