This week’s theme for fifty-two on Friday is silver and gold! From San Diego to across the United States … 19 other child and family photographers from The Bloom Forum and I have joined together to challenge each other on a theme every week. Each one of us will link to one other photographer’s unique vision. Some of my favorite themes … b&w, shoes, love, fashion, alone, game, eyes, friendship, water and summer.
Yes … a little more from two of my favorite first graders. It made me smile as I watched these two dance, hang out and play together after we were finished with their ‘back to school’ session. When I was thinking about this week’s theme, I thought of these images and tried to picture Brooks and Skyler, in their golden years with their silver/gray hair … playing chess and dancing at the old folks home… still the best of friends. It makes me so happy to know they will always be close and have each other.
These were shot with my new Canon 16-35mm 2.8 lens. I love the different perspective I get with it!
This darling chess set was from Tiffany Snyder of Santa Barbara. Tiffany helped us with all the styling of the fun props from this session! She was awesome to work with.

Next up is the talented Gretchen Davis-Portland OR Photographer.
