family photographer san diego | fifty-two on friday {23} macro

This week’s theme for fifty-two on Friday is macro!   From San Diego to across the United States … 19 other child and family photographers from The Bloom Forum and I have joined together to challenge each other on a theme every week.  Each one of us will link to one other photographer’s unique vision. Some of my favorite themes …  b&wsimple,  shoes,  lovefashionalonegame,  eyes,  friendship and water.

Macro … I am so not a macro photographer.  I had no idea what I was going to do until the other day when Brooks started bringing home his end of the year papers.  This first image is his end of the school year self portrait.  I laughed so hard when I read his teacher’s comment … gardening (not an axe murderer).  Hysterical!  He does look a bit like an axe murderer with those tools.  Since he fancies himself being such a gardener, I though that would be a fitting theme for my fifty-two project.  Thanks for the inspiration sweet boy!

Brooks finished up his last day of kindergarten yesterday … he is officially a first grader!  We’re both looking forward to a long, lazy summer!

Here’s the macro session …we went for a walk to the field last night so he could ‘garden’.

mommy … this one is getting a piggy back ride.
