Brooks thought sitting in the middle of a bunch of pumpkins would be a perfect spot for our portrait together for September. He didn’t think about how tricky it is to find a flat enough pumpkin to balance the camera on or how tricky it is to squat among all the pumpkins to mark the focus or how tricky it is to climb over all the pumpkins and find a spot that doesn’t poke. So, here it is … not my favorite … but it is what it is … just us. :)
I promise to have a better one for October!!!

Melanie - This post had me laughing this morning. I could so see myself falling and crushing one of those pumpkins if I tried this. I think it’s adorable & I love that huge happy grin on Brooks face.
tamsen - he is just so darn adorable! i know what you mean though- it’s hard to get an awesome shot that works in your head every month! esp when you’re using a timer
